Our Critical Issues for Justice and Peace
Besides the war in Iraq and the subsequent quagmire, a variety of other issues must be addressed by those who want to be our leaders. The St. Anthony Park Neighbors for Peace groups identified the issues that we felt were critical to achieving justice and peace.
- Constructive International Cooperation – The Multilateral Task Force addressed international treaties, pre-emptive war, the United Nations, and international economic agreements.
- Environmentally Sound Energy Independence – How to meet our energy needs so that our foreign and environmental policies will not continue to be dictated by our energy needs.
- Pro-Democracy Legislation – Including preservation of civil liberties, fair and clean elections, corporate responsibility, civil rights, etc. This report is posted on the Code for Corporate Responsibility website.
